The Katapola Fig folk embroidery kit is inspired by cushion border embroideries of the Cyclades islands in Greece, and features lush fig trees laden with fruit and nesting birds. This modern interpretation mirrors the motifs to create a lavish central border for a table runner or bolster cushion. Shown worked in rosewood, terra cotta, and alizarin to evoke historical madder dyestuffs, the design can also be stitched in a light, medium, and dark shade of the color of your choosing.
