Embroidery designer Krista West shares her enthusiasm and passion for traditional folk embroidery in her new book, Everyday Folk: over 175 folk embroidery for the home inspired by traditional textiles. This wonderful guide to the vibrant world of cross stitch folk embroidery is filled with creative inspiration and practical information for any level of stitcher. The 14 Essential Projects provide chart and instructions to make table runners, table squares, cushion covers, wall hangings, drawstring bags, and even an laptop case! Want to design your own creation? The book also has chapters on folk embroidery design, finishing techniques with step-by-step photos, and a huge Design Library filled with over 150 full color SOC (symbol on color) charts with convenient repeat boxes.

Ships via Media Mail

(if you have ordered a supply kit, the book and kit will ship via USPS Ground Advantage)

The coordinating Supply Kits for the Essential Projects contain the same traditional folk fabrics that Krista used for the samples in the book. Please note that due to copyright reasons, the supply kits do not come with a printed chart (you will need a copy of the book for the project charts).

A huge thank you to my amazing group of sample stitchers who helped me stitch the beautiful projects you see in the book: Pamela Filbert, Debera Mahassos, Cindy Russell, Rachael Marks, Maria Armstrong, Elizabeth Ostler

Two clarifications:

1. The signed book comes with a signed book plate sticker in the inner left cover. I hand-signed each of these bookplates, but my signature does not match the one the graphics team used in the intro of the book (they forgot to get my signature before the book went to press).

2. While I offer "free shipping" on the website, please be aware that I am charging $29.99 for the book instead of the list price of $24.99. I make very little on the book, so I have to charge $5 extra to cover at least some of the Media Mail postage.

Thank you for your understanding, Krista
