I have so been looking forward to this project. I found it in my mailbox yesterday and just knew I'd start it today. Kitting up the project was a pleasure and now that I'm stitching I can say that this linen-cotton blend fabric is fabulous to stitch on. I can tell I'm going to have such fun with this one.

Exciting!
Your satin stitches look beautiful! I had to snap this kit up but, being brand new to surface embroidery, I'm going to stitch a smaller one first. But before I do that, I'm working on a couple of holiday-ish things that The Man has requested. So I'm living through watching you go right now.
One thing I'm curious about it how you're protecting your stitches in place when you move your hoop. I'm assuming that it must consist of folding the cloth back over itself like with the counted stitching, but I could be mistaken. I usually use a much larger hoop, so maybe that won't be an issue.
I'm also surveying your gadgetry and it looks like you got the same little colored loopy rings for your thread cards that I have. And you have that cute little box for your goodies. It's lovely! I believe we have the same scissors, but you have a fancy gold sheath? Dontcha just feel fancy? Didja get these lovelies from Stitched Modern?
I wish you lived closer to me - I'd come right over and drool over your tools!
Yes, isn't that Essex linen/cotton amazing? I'm stitching the third sample right now (Scottish Rose) and I just love how easy it is to lay down really beautiful, close satin stitches without working too hard :)
Looks amazing! Keep it up!
Yes! What a fun project! You're way ahead of me, but I'll be watching your progress. I can't wait to test this new-to-me linen/cotton fabric. Right now I'm in the midst of an Avlea project that will take a month or more <sigh, but what fun>. After that, I'm hoping to test this fabric/project. Keep posting updates.
How exciting!!! There are just not enough hours in the day for stitching! So many projects!! This is on my list too and it’s so hard to go to work when there is so much amazing stitching to do and cushions to make. 😊 Keep us posted on your progress.
