Last December I entered FiberTalk drawing hoping I might win one of two ornament kits. I had only stitched one or two very small and easy linen projects, so I thought ornaments would be good starting project. As luck would have it. I won Clara's Garden and I almost returned it; then I decided to accept the challenge. If I could stitch the border and dark green of the design around and meet up correctly, I might be able to complete the project. I met my first challenge, and so...
Six months latter, many checks of progress, a few frogs, several miss crossed crosses and some choice words I finished the piece. I even did hem stitching too, had never done this technique before either. Your instructions for hem stitching make it easy.
The piece looks lovely on my dining room table with my grandmother's hand painted china and my beaded strawberries.
Thank you, I feel I have accomplish two new techniques for me. sue d.
