February progress on my band sampler. I love that little row of pomegranates! Now, a break to begin work on my first Avlea design. (Whoop!)
This band sampler is SO beautiful! I'm actually working on a new Byzantine Band Sampler that features 11 borders I adapted from painted borders from Byzantine iconography and illuminated manuscripts. I want to do a multi-purpose pattern like this that stitchers can make as one entire piece OR use the borders for small projects like bookmarks, drawstring bags, etc. It's next up on my sample stitching list and I can't wait to get started. Stay tuned for sneak peeks!
