Here is my progress after a few days, but I just noticed I think I measured incorrectly 😬 as you can see in the photo, but I’ve never loved doing anything so much before! I’m so thankful to have found Avlea and the art of cross stitching ❤️

Yes, that's what it looks like when I zoom in and you do need to go over two threads in each direction for everything to line up. You could take it all out and start over, but to save you that trouble, just email me your address (avleaembroidery@gmail.com) and I'll send you a new piece of fabric :)
I think I just realized my already existing “x’s” only cross over one horizontal thread instead of two. As I was beginning the corner I noticed when I crossed up 2 horizontal threads it didn’t match the “x’s” on either side… Do I continue the same way or start from the beginning? Maybe that’s why the border is looking off center
This looks great! I'd recommend starting to work one of those corners and not finishing the border until you have more done--it's sort of like letting your work double-check itself :)
